Who needs toys...

OK peoples, stop sending me toys. All I need is common, everyday household items and I happy as little clam. Little clams fairly happy i told. All they do is sit in the sand and filter little gross things through the muck. Sounds good to me. Wonder if little clams have laundry baskets? Anyway, for first birthday i would like clothespins and extension cords. Maybe a magazine or two, and some tupperware. Doesn't even need to be brand name tupperware. you can get the cheapy Glad ones and I ecstatic.

As long as we are showing off new skills...

Hello, this is Bryce. I also have bold new skills that have been captured on film. I climb. I very stealthy when I climb. Sometimes mommy and daddy don't even know until i on third or fourth step. I like ninja. Only mommy keep dressing me like baseball player. Whatever that is. I climb to top of stairs and go into sis's room and chew on her bed. Cold bars feel very good on my little teefs. It makes a clanky sound. Don't tell anyone, but damn, my daddy gots a big ass. It practically take up whole screen.

Flippin out!

OK, it's not really a flip, but Austyn has learned her roundoff back handspring on the tumble track, which is a long skinny trampoline, and she is really proud of it, as are her parents and little brother. Here it is. Pretty cool, eh?

Random slices of life at the Waldron House.

Bryce loves to read books before bed. That is silly book, Mommy. A daisy chain of hairstyling. Daddy sat out of this one, cause he gots no hair to style. Here's me standing on some rocks with Bryce in a backpack. See, Kim came with us to Sugarloaf. She looks cold. It wasn't all that cold. Could it be she is sad because no one in her family (Her biological family that is) or her friends called her on her birthday? It's possible. She was raised catholic, so she's teaching me to pour on the guilt. Will it work? We'll see.

Baby's second or maybe third hike.

We got tired of sitting in the house on such a nice day, so we drove to Sugarloaf Mountain (technically a monadnock, but i digress) and went for a nice, quick hike. Here is Daddy and Me with our new (slightly used) Kelty Elite. Our friend Emmet has one, and it looked so much more comfortable than the cheap-o one that Daddy had that we figured we had to get one ourselves. Daddy says it carries the weight on his hips much better than the old one. Whatever that means. Then they went and put these stupid leg warmers on me. They did keep my legs nice and warm though. Where did they get those things from anyway? Who in their right mind wears leg warmers? Must be some weird west coast hippie thing. That's what you get from eating too much tofu. This is a view from one of the overlooks that is either Virginia, or West Virginia, we're not quite sure. Sure is pretty though. That's the summit of Sugarloaf. Daddy didn't think his knees could handle the trail straight up ...

Fun with Daddy

Austyn's Cheer Competition

Image
So Austyn is a competitive cheerleader. Which means no football or basketball games, but a lot of stunting and time at places very far from home. Austyn seems to love it and will probably continue next year. Her team is called Dream Allstars and her squad is known as Vision. Austyn is in this sea of girls. Last row second from the right. Sometimes its hard to tell its her she looks so different with the "stage make-up" and fake hair. Yes she has to cover up her gorgeous hair with a fake hair piece. It has to be sewn into her hair. The only plus is that we don't have to curl her hair which used to take up to 2 hours to do. Here she is after competing looking very happy. Her squad got second at this comptetion. This is very early on Saturday before the make-up application. Remeber girls "you can never wear enough blue eye shadow". I only wish this wasn't the actual mantra in cheerleading makeup application.
