Hey Folks! We had a nice little snow storm this past valentines day. It started out as snow then turned to Sleet and Ice. Austyn, Kim and I all got to stay home the last two days. Austyn and I ventured out to go sledding today. the temps were in the low 10's last night and everything froze solid. So basically we were sliding on a 4 inch thick layer of frozen snow. interesting until we slid out of control into the playground equipment. not fun. we decided that the smaller hill was more fun without the sled and did some belly and butt sliding. What a cute little girl. Will Bryce be able to live up to the cuteness standard set by his older sister? We'll see. this is the result of rain at 2AM in 20 degree weather. Some chick actually got killed when a tree limb fell on her. bummer.

So, Here we have the Bruce Trail. Pretty darn sweet if you were to ask me. It's the first trail actually cut for skiing in Vermont, way back in the CCC days. Early 1900's that is. We left the ski area boundary and set off into the backcountry armed only with Pete and the knowledge that a second car was left a few miles away to ferry us back to the parking lot at stowe. We obviously weren't the first ones through that day, but the moguls were pretty much still freshies in disguise and we were able to muscle through without too much trouble. too bad Claude had to hip check that stump. I would love to go back in the spring or summer and retrace our tracks back up the mountain. Some day. Thanks Pete. Here's you taking a picture of me taking a picture of you.

Did Tim give us snow on Friday night so that we could have freshies on Saturday AM? Could be, but whatever it was, Tim, J.C., Pete, Daniel and I weren't complaining, that's for damn sure.
